Nitrous oxide doesn\u2019t make you fall asleep\u2014it helps you feel calm, comfortable, and relaxed while staying fully awake during your procedure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

How Nitrous Oxide Works<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Nitrous oxide is a mild sedative that\u2019s mixed with oxygen and inhaled through a small mask that fits over your nose.
