Why Did You Decide to Become an Orthodontist?

Dr. Karimi’s journey into dentistry began during college when he shadowed a dentist and witnessed the strong, trusting relationships that developed with patients over time. Seeing how dentistry could positively impact a patient’s health while fostering long-term trust and connection solidified his decision to pursue the profession. He was inspired by the unique opportunity dentistry provides to blend hands-on healthcare with meaningful patient relationships.

Where Did You Study Dentistry?

Dr. Karimi attended the University of Texas at Austin for his undergraduate studies before earning his dental degree from Texas A&M College of Dentistry. He continues to expand his clinical skills through ongoing education, including advanced coursework in extractions, bone grafting techniques, and suturing hosted by board-certified prosthodontist Dr. Xavier Saab. Dr. Karimi is experienced in composite restorations, root canals, crown and bridge work, extractions, bone grafting, dentures, and deep cleanings. He also holds a Level 1 minimal sedation certification to help anxious or fearful patients receive treatment comfortably.

Outside of the Dental Office,
What Do You Like to Do?

Originally from Richardson, Texas, Dr. Karimi grew up with his parents and two older sisters. Outside of dentistry, he enjoys staying active with regular workouts, cooking at home, and spending time with his dog. He’s a big movie enthusiast and loves exploring new restaurants and trying new foods. A fun fact about Dr. Karimi: he broke his left index finger during his first few months as a dentist—and was back to work just one week after surgery, a testament to his dedication and resilience.
